Our culture is out of balance in many ways. Our relationship with money is one of the biggest ones we have. As we enter this season of frenetic buying we have days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. At least recently, the idea came along to try and regain some balance with Giving Tuesday. I love that this has begun to take hold because the only way I know to loosen the grip money has on us, is through generosity and giving. So, I encourage you to participate enthusiastically in Giving Tuesday and, as you do to remember that while many organizations are worthy of your support, the church is unique. It is the primary way God has chosen to be present in and for the world. It is the primary place where His redemptive purposes are being worked out. This is true at Covenant as we nurture kids at Awana, serve hundreds of students each week at grilled cheese, help adults grow through thoughtful classes and Bible studies, and gather for inspiring worship. This is just a snippet of the ways God is at work in and through Covenant. Please participate in Giving Tuesday on behalf of Covenant by donating here.
May you grow in faith as you give.
In Christ,
Pastor Jeff Kintner
